<title>Paradox Community Church - Teaching Audio Podcast</title>
<link>http://paradox.la/podcasts/</link>
<description>Paradox means “Contrary to expectation; wonderful, remarkable, unexpected.” And the word paradoxa is used one time in the New Testament: Luke 5:26 it says, “Everyone was gripped with great wonder and awe. And they praised God saying, ‘We have seen amazing (paradoxa) things today.'
We want for people to be amazed at God's work in our presence and we want to be an unexpected and refreshing surprise for people who have negative preconceptions of Christianity and the church. Paradox Community Church is a non-denominational Christian church in West Los Angeles. We are part of the Acts 29 Network.

These are our weekly large group teaching messages.</description>

<title>Creating Community, Part 3</title>
<itunes:subtitle>Creating Community, the role of the small group in today's church.</itunes:subtitle>
<itunes:summary>Creating Community, the role of the small group in today's church. If
you have never been part of a community group and you are wondering
what happens during these gatherings, they are designed intentionally
to be informal. They are not formal Bible Studies per se, but rather
they are an opportunity for people to process, in the context of
relationships, the things we are learning together on Sundays. They
also allow people to share what is going on in their lives and what
they are learning personally. This is an environment created to help us
share with others the areas in which we need prayer and support and who
we are praying that God will use us to minister to, etc. In short the
focus is allowing God to use relationships as a catalyst for life
shaping. That life shaping happens as we love each other, learn
together, reach out to those far from God, and serve within our church
and out in our community.

<itunes:subtitle>Breakaway! Part 6, Tim Wagner</itunes:subtitle>
<itunes:summary>We feel trapped by our past, our circumstances, jobs, relationships or the self destructive choices that threaten to alter the direction of our lives. In our effort to break away, we often run away. Yet no matter where we go, who we are on the inside remains unchanged. Our attempts to change often feel like we are putting oversized furniture in the wrong shaped room. It just makes life even more crowded &amp; unmanageable. We long for a radical renovation of our lives that brings wholeness and freedom. In short, we long to Breakaway. If you feel &quot;stuck&quot; in your habits or choices, if you wonder if you can be more or be different, if you are searching for freedom or a fresh start, then these messages from the Biblical book of Romans are for you. Come learn to Breakaway.</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary> We feel trapped by our past, our circumstances, jobs, relationships or the self destructive choices that threaten to alter the direction of our lives. In our effort to break away, we often run away. Yet no matter where we go, who we are on the inside remains unchanged. <title>Why Paradox Community Church</title>
<itunes:subtitle>Why Paradox Community Church?</itunes:subtitle>
<itunes:summary>
For many within our culture, the church has lost its relevance. There is a growing churchless population and many churches have begun to decline because they have been unable to change and adapt to a rapidly changing culture. For us to embrace God&apos;s mission is means that we must care for people in the way that he cares for them and to meet them where they are in culturally relevant ways. We believe that the message of the gospel is unchanging, yet the methods of presenting that message must constantly and creatively be evaluated and changed to connect with culture.
